The bake sale is coming, the bake sale is coming! All our bakers are hard at work getting ready to raise $15,000 for West tomorrow!

Capital Cake Chick’s Bee-autiful hive cookies will be at the South Austin Bakes for West site!

The excitement has been building all day on social media— volunteers and businesses have been helping to spread the word about Austin Bakes. They are also posting photos of the beautiful baked goods!!

We’ll have macarons at the North Austin, Central – Stiles Switch, Central – Foreign & Domestic, and Downtown locations of the bake sale. These adorable Totoro macarons are by Tweeter @LegalBakery, and will be at the North Austin- Whole Foods Market sale site (while they last).

Remember, at the bake sale Saturday, none of these things will have a price tag. We’ll be asking donors to take an item of their choice and gift AmeriCares accordingly. We will be able to accept cash and checks made out to AmeriCares at all eight sale sites, and credit cards through our online giving page only.

Princess Barbie will be making an appearance at Whole Foods Market Bee Cave tomorrow! Volunteer Beth of Cooking by Design baked this beauty!

We hope to see you at several of the bake sale sites tomorrow. Whether you can give a little or a lot, your gift will make a difference for the people in West. In between batches of kolaches, we’ll be compiling a complete list of baked goods at each sale site. Look for a full list of items (including vegan, gluten-free, and other special kinds of goods) sometime after midnight!
