Let the trumpets blare! We have hit our goal!
The sale’s grand total (including on-site donations, online donations, t-shirt sales, and sponsor contributions) is $20,015! (UPDATE: We’re now at $20,110!) Every penny will be on its way to Americares shortly, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of our amazing community of bakers and businesses here in Austin, Texas.
This has been our biggest and most successful bake sale yet, and we can’t wait to do it again. All together, Austin Bakes has now raised over $80k for humanitarian aid since our first sale in 2011. That’s pretty incredible.

We will be taking a short break to catch our breath from Austin Bakes For Harvey, then setting our sites on two upcoming projects, Austin Bakes for Irma (to provide aid to those in Florida and the Carribean) and The Big Bake Sale for Social Justice.
If you’d like to get involved in Austin Bakes for Irma, make sure to join our mailing list and The Austin Bakes volunteer group on Facebook. We’ll make an announcement when we are ready to get started recruiting organizers, bakers, and volunteers.
The Big Bake Sale for Social Justice is a brand new project being spearheaded by some of our core Austin Bakes volunteers. The sale is intended to collect donations to help support programs that are helping to support social justice causes such as fighting institutional racism and racial, gender, and religious discrimination. Since we’d like to keep Austin Bakes focused on humanitarian aid and disaster relief, The Big Bake Sale will be operating as a brand new and mostly separate group. You can get involved, or just keep up with our progress at TheBigBakeSale.org, or The Big Bake Sale’s Facebook Page and Volunteer Group.

A huge thanks goes out to our sponsors, host venues, and photographers as well. This jut wouldn’t work without the support of our local businesses and you all really showed up!
We’d like to say a special THANK YOU to the businesses that donated a portion of their own sales for bake sale day.
Thank you to Crema Bakery & Cafe for once again donating to Austin Bakes. Crema hosted our South sale site, donated goodies from their bakery and donated $250 toward our goal.
Thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes, whose three Austin locations (Southpark Meadows, Westlake, and the Arboretum) donated a total of $708.91 toward our fundraising goal.
